Company history

Founding of the company by Otto Kerger/Manufacturing and assembly of awnings, roller shutters, folding and rolling grilles

Shifting of production to nuts and bolts during the Second World War

The son, Ernst, becomes owner after the war and the original products are manufactured again in Wuppertal Elberfeld.

Klaus Kerger takes over management after the death of his father, Ernst. In the following years the company increases its turnover and output quite significantly.

Founding of Keroll Kerger GmbH, under whose name business has been carried out until the present.

Since the mid-1980s, the company has concentrated on the production of folding grilles, roller shutters and folding grills and has operated exclusively as a presupplier for companies specialised in the gate, shutter, sun protection and metal construction sectors.

Self-assembly of awnings, security grilles and gate systems is completely discontinued at the beginning of the 1990s.

Since 1991 the company has exhibited at the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, gates and sun protection, the R+T in Stuttgart.

Keroll Kerger GmbH celebrates its 100th anniversary. Meanwhile, the family company of Klaus Kerger reaches the fourth generation with daughter Anne and son Thomas.

This year the company increased its market presence quite considerably: a fresher, more modern image and new website are the result. Keroll Kerger GmbH presents itself as an owner-operated family company, firmly rooted in the region, but with individual product solutions that have proved successful internationally.
